Eu sou o Caminho, a Verdade e a Vida. Ninguém vai ao Pai senão por mim.

(John 14, 6-14):
    " Jesus said: I am the Way; I am Truth and Life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
     If you know me, you will know my Father too. From this moment you know him and have seen him.
     Philip said, 'Lord, show us the Father and then we shall be satisfied.' Jesus said to him,  'Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and you still do not know me? 'Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father, so how can you say, "Show us the Father"?
     Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? What I say to you I do not speak of my own accord: it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his works.
     You must believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe it on the evidence of these works.
     In all truth I tell you, whoever believes in me will perform the same works as I do myself, and will perform even greater works, because I am going to the Father.
     Whatever you ask in my name I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
     If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.."

     "Naquele tempo, Jesus disse a Tomé:
    “Eu sou o Caminho, a Verdade e a Vida. Ninguém vai ao Pai senão por mim.
     Se vós me conhecêsseis, conheceríeis também o meu Pai. E desde agora o conheceis e o vistes”.
     Disse Filipe: “Senhor, mostra-nos o Pai, isso nos basta!” Jesus respondeu: “Há tanto tempo estou convosco, e não me conheces, Filipe? Quem me viu, viu o Pai. Como é que tu dizes: ‘Mostra-nos o Pai’? Não acreditas que eu estou no Pai e o Pai está em mim? As palavras que eu vos digo, não as digo por mim mesmo, mas é o Pai que, permanecendo em mim, realiza as suas obras.
     Acreditai-me: eu estou no Pai e o Pai está em mim. Acreditai, ao menos, por causa destas mesmas obras.     
     Em verdade, em verdade vos digo, quem acredita em mim fará as obras que eu faço, e fará ainda maiores do que estas. Pois eu vou para o Pai, e o que pedirdes em meu nome, eu o realizarei, a fim de que o Pai seja glorificado no Filho.
     Se pedirdes algo em meu nome, eu o realizarei."

"«Eu sou o pão da vida: quem vem a Mim nunca mais terá fome, quem acredita em Mim nunca mais terá sede»"

"Eu sou o pão vivo descido do céu. Quem comer deste pão viverá eternamente!..." 

 "I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever!..."

(John 6,30-35):

    " So they said, 'What sign will you yourself do, the sight of which will make us believe in you? What work will you do?
     Our fathers ate manna in the desert; as scripture says: He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'
     Jesus answered them: In all truth I tell you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, it is my Father who gives you the bread from heaven, the true bread; for the bread of God is the bread which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.
     'Sir,' they said, 'give us that bread always.'
     Jesus answered them: I am the bread of life. No one who comes to me will ever hunger; no one who believes in me will ever thirst."

(João 6,30-35):

     "Naquele tempo, disse a multidão a Jesus: «Que milagres fazes Tu, para que nós vejamos e acreditemos em Ti? Que obra realizas?

    No deserto os nossos pais comeram o maná, conforme está escrito: ‘Deu-lhes a comer um pão que veio do céu’».

    Jesus respondeu-lhes: «Em verdade, em verdade vos digo: Não foi Moisés que vos deu o pão que vem do Céu; meu Pai é que vos dá o verdadeiro pão que vem do Céu. O pão de Deus é o que desce do Céu para dar a vida ao mundo».

    Disseram-Lhe eles: «Senhor, dá-nos sempre desse pão».

    Jesus respondeu-lhes: «Eu sou o pão da vida: quem vem a Mim nunca mais terá fome, quem acredita em Mim nunca mais terá sede»."

Quem acredita no Filho tem a vida eterna.

(John 3,31-36):

    "He who comes from above is above all others; he who is of the earth is earthly himself and speaks in an earthly way. He who comes from heaven bears witness to the things he has seen and heard, but his testimony is not accepted by anybody; though anyone who does accept his testimony is attesting that God is true, since he whom God has sent speaks God's own words, for God gives him the Spirit without reserve.
    The Father loves the Son and has entrusted everything to his hands.
     Anyone who believes in the Son has eternal life, but anyone who refuses to believe in the Son will never see life: God's retribution hangs over him."

(João 3,31-36):

     "Naquele tempo, disse Jesus a Nicodemos: «Aquele que vem do alto está acima de todos; quem é da terra, à terra pertence e da terra fala. Aquele que vem do Céu dá testemunho do que viu e ouviu; mas ninguém recebe o seu testemunho. Quem recebe o seu testemunho confirma que Deus é verdadeiro.

    De facto, Aquele que Deus enviou diz palavras de Deus, porque Deus dá o Espírito sem medida.

    O Pai ama o Filho e entregou tudo nas suas mãos.    

  Quem acredita no Filho tem a vida eterna. Quem se recusa a acreditar no Filho não verá a vida, mas a ira de Deus permanece sobre ele."

A nossa alma espera no SENHOR; 

Ele é o nosso amparo e o nosso escudo.

Nele se alegra o nosso coração e em seu nome santo confiamos. 

Venha sobre nós, SENHOR, o teu amor, pois depositamos em ti a nossa confiança.

Meu Senhor e meu Deus!

«A paz esteja convosco»

(João 20,19-31):

    "Na tarde daquele dia, o primeiro da semana, estando fechadas as portas da casa onde os discípulos se encontravam, com medo dos judeus, veio Jesus, apresentou-Se no meio deles e disse-lhes: «A paz esteja convosco». Dito isto, mostrou-lhes as mãos e o lado. Os discípulos ficaram cheios de alegria ao verem o Senhor. Jesus disse-lhes de novo: «A paz esteja convosco. Assim como o Pai Me enviou, também Eu vos envio a vós». Dito isto, soprou sobre eles e disse-lhes: «Recebei o Espírito Santo: àqueles a quem perdoardes os pecados ser-lhes-ão perdoados; e àqueles a quem os retiverdes ser-lhes-ão retidos».
    Tomé, um dos Doze, chamado Dídimo, não estava com eles quando veio Jesus. Disseram-lhe os outros discípulos: «Vimos o Senhor». Mas ele respondeu-lhes: «Se não vir nas suas mãos o sinal dos cravos, se não meter o dedo no lugar dos cravos e a mão no seu lado, não acreditarei».
    Oito dias depois, estavam os discípulos outra vez em casa, e Tomé com eles. Veio Jesus, estando as portas fechadas, apresentou-Se no meio deles e disse: «A paz esteja convosco». Depois disse a Tomé: «Põe aqui o teu dedo e vê as minhas mãos; aproxima a tua mão e mete-a no meu lado; e não sejas incrédulo, mas crente». Tomé respondeu-Lhe: «Meu Senhor e meu Deus!». Disse-lhe Jesus: «Porque Me viste acreditaste: felizes os que acreditam sem terem visto».  
    Muitos outros milagres fez Jesus na presença dos seus discípulos, que não estão escritos neste livro. Estes, porém, foram escritos para acreditardes que Jesus é o Messias, o Filho de Deus, e para que, acreditando, tenhais a vida em seu nome."

(John 20,19-31):
     "In the evening of that same day, the first day of the week, the doors were closed in the room where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them. He said to them, 'Peace be with you,' and, after saying this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were filled with joy at seeing the Lord, and he said to them again, 'Peace be with you. 'As the Father sent me, so am I sending you.' After saying this he breathed on them and said: Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone's sins, they are forgiven; if you retain anyone's sins, they are retained.         Thomas, called the Twin, who was one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples said to him, 'We have seen the Lord,' but he answered, 'Unless I can see the holes that the nails made in his hands and can put my finger into the holes they made, and unless I can put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe.'
    Eight days later the disciples were in the house again and Thomas was with them. The doors were closed, but Jesus came in and stood among them. 'Peace be with you,' he said.
Then he spoke to Thomas, 'Put your finger here; look, here are my hands. Give me your hand; put it into my side. Do not be unbelieving any more but believe.' Thomas replied, 'My Lord and my God!' Jesus said to him: ´You believe because you can see me. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe`.
    There were many other signs that Jesus worked in the sight of the disciples, but they are not recorded in this book. These are recorded so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing this you may have life through his name."
